Welcome to Up North Needlepoint! 

I’m Abby – a wife, mother and passionate lover of all things needlepoint. My mom taught me to needlepoint more than 30 summers ago while on our traditional holiday in Northern Michigan. Both the place and craft have held a special place in my heart ever since.  

Needlepoint has been a constant presence through the chapters of my life: high school, college, marriage and motherhood. Over the years, my stitching projects have marked our family’s milestones, hobbies, travels, and accomplishments. Recently, I taught my daughter to needlepoint, and cherish its ability to connect us as she makes for the third generation of stitchers in our family. One of my favorite aspects of stitching is the amazing needlepoint community where I have made some amazing friends!  

Whether you’re brand new to needlepoint or a seasoned stitcher, I hope my shop inspires fun, creativity, and connection.
